Kunsthall Grenland is an art hall situated in Porsgrunn, Norway. Having status as a regional arena the art hall wants to engage a large audience through the production and exhibition of contemporary art.
One aim of Kunsthall Grenland is to facilitate meetings between international participants within the art field and artistic groups in the region. Through changing curatorial practices the art hall wants to mirror artistic, technological and social changes in the society it is to be a part of.

The Project Room
The Project Room presents an ad-hoc arena. Young, local talents are presented here during the annual programme. The duration and scale of each presentation will vary depending on the contents of each project. The programme will be constantly updated.
The Kunsthall arranges video screenings and screenings of film classics throughout the year. The viewings vary between video films which are linked to the main exhibitions and those which run independently. For the year 2016 our screenings in the series Film Classics are run at Nedre Jønholt gård. Titles and viewing information is posted on our web site runningly.
Kunsthall Grenland has guided tours for the general public, schools, kindergartens and private groups. Guided tours on Saturday: In connection with each exhibition the Kunsthall can offer visitors two open guided tours on Saturdays. The tours start at 1pm. and are free of charge. Contact the art hall to order a guided tour.

Guided tours for schools and kindergartens: Kunsthall Grenland offers specially prepared tours for kindergartens and primary schools in cooperation with Porsgrunn council.
One of the most important functions of the Kunsthall is to build a network with collaborators both in and outside of Norway.
